Pulsic - VoIP Services
CAD software development for the design of silicon chips is Pulsic’s primary role. Its head office is in Bristol, with offices in Japan and the USA. It employs a total of about 30 people.
“We heard about Gradwell’s service from the brother of one of our founders; he uses Gradwell’s VoIP service,” explains Pulsic’s Mark Waller.
“Right from the start, we were pleased with the way Gradwell was so helpful,” he adds. “I knew next to nothing about VOIP before I spoke to the Gradwell staff: sales associate Derek set-up a test account for me and various people at Pulsic. Overall, Gradwell took plenty of time to explain their system and talk about our requirements and considerations.”
“We opted for Virtual Centrex: it was established within two hours of our request.”
“It has certainly provided a reasonably fully feature- phone service, with an easy-to-use interface and maximum flexibility. We previously had a traditional phone system, the configuration of which was completely hidden from us and very inflexible,” comments Mark.
The Gradwell VoIP that Pulsic uses has experienced a few glitches. “Early on there were a few problems - mainly with hardware and routing equipment at Gradwell’s end. We have occasionally had outages, something to do with DNS at Gradwell’s suppliers. But these issues were sorted-out quickly.”
So what is Mark’s impression? “Gradwell’s VoIP was seen as a risk when we started-out, but a risk with an upside. There have been a few problems but things have settled down recently. Generally it has gone well.”
“It is certainly saving us money over a traditional phone service.”
